BSC Review

Changes from DCRM(B)

- "area" in the bullets should be capitalized

MT: Within the text of the rules, we are not capitalizing "area" so I don't think we should here. 1/5/16

TF: Agreed. 1/6/16

- eighth bullet: "additional criteria are provided for" rather than "on"

MT: Made it "provides additional criteria for" 1/6/16

- ninth bullet: Suggested (to keep the grammatical structure consistent) "specialized appendixes are added ..."

MT: Made it "adds specialized appendixes" because changed other bullets to be active voice. 1/6/16

Changes from CM

- third bullet: remove "requires"

- fourth bullet: remove "are" and "permits"

- fifth bullet: remove "area 5 provides"

- sixth bullet: remove "provides"

- seventh bullet: remove "provides"

MT: I'm not sure why these words should be removed in the 3rd-7th bullets. Is the idea to make them match the 1st-2nd bullets (which have no verbs)? I'm not sure I like what that does to some of these bullets. I could try making the grammatical structure of the bullets in "Changes from CM" conform to the structure used for "Changes from DCRM(B)" (if bullet begins with an area number, use an active verb; otherwise use a passive verb). That seems preferable to removing all the verbs. 1/15/16

TF: I'm okay with making the grammatical structure the same as "Changes from DCRM(B)"; but I'm also fine with leaving the wording as is. 1/6/16

- eighth bullet: remove "are revised and expanded"

MT: Huh? That would leave "glossary entries" as the only words. Not done. 1/5/16

TF: Agreed. 1/6/16

RB: I don't see any reason to make these changes. Leave as is. 1/6/16

LSC: I think that removing the verbs makes no sense at all.  Leave as is, with the possible exception of changing the passive voice in the second to last bullet to the active voice used in the ninth bullet., i.e. "provides additional criteria." 1/6/2016

NK: I don't mind leaving as is, but if we want to make more parallel structures, I can see doing what Larry suggests for changing passive to active voice, and adding verbs to the first couple of bullets under "Changes from CM," i.e. "specifies slightly different ..." and "places greater emphasis on ..." 1/6/16

MT: I made the two sections more parallel; added the verbs that Nancy suggested; changed several bullets in both sections to active voice as Larry suggested. Also replaced "provides additional specialized appendixes ..." with "adds specialized appendixes .." so we didn't have 3 bullets in a row beginning with "provides" 1/6/16
