BSC Review:
2D --Do you want statements relating to ...?
MT: No change needed. The captions for 2B and 2D are both singular; the captions for 2C and 2E are both plural. This is taken straight from AACR2. 2/21/15
2D1 2nd example has 3d instead of 3rd
MT: No change needed; transcribed as appears on the item. 2/21/15: http://www.davidrumsey.com/luna/servlet/s/rxmn42
The only issues that I found were varying margins:
MT: I'm not sure which margins this person is measuring, the right or left, but I suspect they just don't realize that DCRM formatting gives odd numbered pages a wider left margin and even numbered pages a wider right margin to account for later binding needs (i.e. so the gutter doesn't eat up the inner margins and make it harder to read the text along those margins). And of course the outer margins are not justified, so they will vary depending on the text. Unfortunately, I'm in Florida this week without access to a printer, which makes it harder to evaluate this issue. If anyone else has time to look into this ... 12/21/15
TF: I'm guessing Manon's explanation above explains the margins. Does having different margins to account for binding issues really matter for a text that will be online only (not meant to imply we should change them regardless)? 12/30/15
MT: I checked the document and all the margins seem correct. The formatting is: Top=1"; Left=1.1"; Right=1.1"; Bottom=1.25"; Header=.5"; Footer=.75"; Gutter=.3". I have left them as they are. Some might want to print out the document for inserting into a 3-ring binder or even having it bound. The other DCRM manuals have the same formatting, even DCRM(G) which is online-only. The DCRM(G) page actually has two PDFs, one formatted for printing on 8 1/2 x 11" paper, the other for printing on A4 paper. 1/1/16
